Upcoming events in 2016: get there in style

It’s nearly summer time and there are no shortage of sporting and entertainment events happening across the UK, so we’ve compiled a list of some of the highlights for you.

European Aquatics Championships, London – 9th May – 22nd May 2016

The London Aquatic Centre on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will stage the LEN 2016 European Aquatics Championships and the LEN European Masters Championships between the 9th and 22nd May 2016. The two world-class events will include swimming, diving and synchronised swimming.

Women’s FA Cup Final, Wembley – 14th May 2016

If you’re a footy fan, this makes a great day out. Record winners Arsenal will face holders Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final on Saturday 14 May 2016 (kickoff is at 2pm). We can get you there in luxury and style, and we can bring you back too!

Men’s FA Cup Final, Wembley – 21st May 2016

Arsenal made the cup final in 2015 memorable, and this year promises fireworks too. There will be a repeat of the 1990 FA Cup Final with Crystal Palace booked in a showdown with Manchester United – courtesy of a 2-1 win over Watford. Aviva Premiership Rugby Final, Twickenham – 28th May 2016

Twickenham host the final of the Aviva Premiership Rugby League in May 2016, along with a whole host of other rugby matches including England vs Argentina in November. For more information, check out the fixtures list.

Newmarket Nights, Newmarket Racecourse – 17th June 2016 – 27th August 2016

Newmarket Nights have been an incredible success, blending horse racing and top quality live music acts into a festival of fun. The Corrs are set to be the first act of this summer, opening proceedings on 17th June.

The date will also mark the beginning of celebrations for Newmarket Racecourses in their landmark 350th year as the home of horseracing. More great acts follow, including Will Young on the 24th June 2016, Kaiser Chiefs on the 15th July 2016, Busted on the 22nd July 2016, Tears For Fears on the 29th July 2016, Jess Glynne on the 12th August 2016 and Little Mix on 27th August. Royal Ascot – 14th June – 18th June 2016

Race days at Royal Ascot are some of the most famous in the world, attracting thousands of racing lovers and those looking for a bit of a flutter. Along with celebrities and well known racegoers, Ascot also has one very special guest – The Queen, who marks her 90th birthday this year.

2016 Formula 1 British Grand Prix, Silverstone – 8th July – 10th July

One of the biggest motorsport events in the UK is the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone. The drivers name this track ‘insanely fast’ – so you know that the practice, qualifying, and racing will be action packed. BBC Proms, Royal Albert Hall – 15th July – 10th September 2016

The BBC Proms are an immense series of over 75 performances, most held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London. Starting on the 15th July 2016, they run right through to 10th September 2016. The BBC Proms attract thousands of people every year, and we can get you there on time and in luxury.

Totally Thames Festival, London – September 2016

The Totally Thames Festival is something a little different. It takes place over the entire month of September 2016 and brings the River Thames to life through an exciting season of arts, cultural and river events throughout the 42-mile stretch of the Thames in London.

NFL International Series Games, London – October 2016

A must for NFL fans in the UK. The NFL are hosting three games in London during October 2016. Starting on 2nd October, the Indianapolis Colts v Jacksonville Jaguars play at Wembley. Following that, on the 23rd October, an NFC East Team play the St Louis Rams play at Twickenham Stadium. Wimbledon – 27th June – 10th July 2016
