We are not a standard taxi car service, so you will require some essential skills to become a successful chauffeur.
Driving: A chauffeur position suits those who enjoy driving in various settings. Our clientele travels throughout the country, so you must have a reasonable knowledge of the main UK road networks, Cambridge, and all London Airports. You must be a courteous, calm, dependable driver offering a smooth and comfortable journey. Advanced driver qualifications are always an advantage because every journey is undertaken to the highest passenger and road safety standards.
Appearance: You and your vehicle must be impeccably dressed and clean whenever you are called upon. Those who take pride in their appearance, keep a clean vehicle, and pay attention to detail will serve you well working with Cachet Cars.
In addition to your appearance, you must have the etiquette of a chauffeur – Opening doors, loading luggage, and assisting clients at all times. Confidentiality and discretion are of utmost importance. For celebrities, VIPs, or clients undertaking business deals inside the car, clients expect total privacy, discretion, and complete confidentiality during each journey.
Skills: You must be able to demonstrate excellent time management. Our clients expect you to be prompt (early) for all pickups. Using smartphones and mobile apps to check flight arrival times in advance. Checking your client’s pickup address or route before leaving is a good organizational skill that will be required. The ability to follow instructions and client requests without complaint and to recognise client needs; some need to work, sleep, take calls, or enjoy the luxury of the car and not engage in conversations with their chauffeur driver.

Licensing
Holding a Private Hire Drivers Licence with Huntingdonshire District Council will be advantageous and could mean an immediate start. This is not essential, and we can offer support with the licensing process for the right candidates.
